Day 1- Inspired by Marchesa

Hello everyone!

I hope to see at least some designs today! 🙂 I found this beautiful Marchesa dress and decided to make a sparkly, stamped version of it. I really need to get this color, I layered a few different polishes and it still didnt cut it, but nonetheless I am still very happy with how this turned out! 🙂

Day 14- Modified French Manicure

Today’s mani was inspired by Robin Moses of http://robinmosesnailart.blogspot.com/ Her designs are simply beautiful and I have a subfolder called “RobinMoses” in my nail art inspiration folder! I am really proud of these and I might not want to take them off tomorrow….so water marble will have to wait (too bad…you all know how much I love water marbling…..NOT) 😉

I really like how these turned out. 😀 I just wish my nails were in better shape….a few broke recently, and are slightly lopsided. 😦

today i tried a mani that i have been wanting to try to quite a while now, and I’m glad I actually did! They turned out so pretty and awesome!

the funny thing is, the darker color is the red from my nails yesterday, i just sponged on some orange afterword. not only is it an orange mani, its also green (as in environment friendly…cuz i recycled…) yeah. im punny and clever.

Colors I used:

Base Coat- Essie- Millionails

Revlon- Red Bikini

Sally Hansen- Sunkissed

Confetti- Lucky Licorice

Wet N Wild- French White Créme

Top Coat- Seche Vite

See you tomorrow! 🙂

Day 21- Inspired By a Color

Okay. I am REALLY happy with this mani. I had no idea what to do, so I just picked out a color and let it “inspire” me. Maybe I should do that more often!!! I looked up the florida flag (because the name of the pink is Florida Sunset) and I guess I sort of took inspiration from the crossed lines on there? Not really though. I just kind of made it up as I went along. Also, I have been putting cuticle oil/lotion on my hands every time I had a chance all day, so I really like how my hands look in the pictures!

The colors I used for this were:

Color Mates- Florida Sunset
Color Mates- Blue Thunder
Milani- Art of Gold

Day 14- Flowers

Today I was inspired by Lucy’s Stash and I did flowers with watercolor paints. I like how they turned out, and I am definitely going to be using watercolors in the future. Last year I took watercolor classes and I havent been painting at all lately, so this was really cool to be able to do! I have midterms, so im keeping this post short. See you tomorrow!

also, ignore the green splotches all over my hands, i was making fake blood or a film project and the food coloring spilled all over. oops.

Colors i used:

Sally Hansen- Mint Sorbet

Nail Art- White

Reeves water colours

Day 12- Stripes

Today I decided to go kind of neon and it ended up looking very “eighties” in my opinion! i was inspired by a picture that i found online, well actually not only was i inspired, but i recreated it! Unfortunately, the person didn’t watermark the image and it was posted on many different sites without any credit 😦 if someone knows whos picture this is, please let me know so i can give them credit, because these nails are AWESOME!

here is the original picture:

and here are my nails:

ooh hands in front of my face

so eighties lol

ooh look at my face

Colors used:

NYC-Fuchsia Shock Creme

OPI for Sephora- Slushied

Color Club- Cadillac Red

Color Mates- Golden Sunshine

Essie Grow Faster Base Coat

Seche Vite Top Coat

Day 10- Gradient

For the gradient, i decided to go dark because of the brightness of the rainbow! i used Sation Seriously Slate and LA Colors Black Velvet. Sation Seriously Slate is Seriously pretty! i know its a grey-black color but it kind of reminds my of graphite and it has little shiny flecks and i really like it a lot!

this picture is just sation seriously slate,  no top coat. shiny and pretty!

here is my gradient, its very subtle, but i actually like it a lot!

i decided to add a matte top coat on it, i used OPI for Sephora’s Matte Top coat, it still has a little shine but it gives it a cool gunmetal look i think.

close up of the matte-ness

thumb, matte, but you cant see the gradient at all! i guess i souldve used a lighter gray as my base. oh well!

this was the first time i ever did a gradient, so i think it turned out ok, although i should have used more contrasting colors! i learned how to do a gradient here if you would like to check it out on your own!
